Karl Seltzer is a UF EES alumnus, a researcher with the Henderson Group and most recently has a research position at the United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). Karl works in the EPA's Office of Research and Development in the National Exposure Research Lab at their Research Triangle Park location. He downscales regional climate model results as a part of a project within the Applied Modeling Branch of the Atmospheric Modeling and Analysis Division (that's the EPA/ORD/NERL/AMAD/AMB). His main work relates to longterm historical regional modeling using CMAQ with newly compiled meteorological and emission datasets. In addition to his work at RTP, Karl continues to do work with Dr. Barron Henderson (a previous AMB researcher). His work with the Henderson Group mainly relates to global atmospheric modeling simulations of varying atmospheric compositions and chemical mechanisms, and relating these changes to differences in global radiative effects.
